Hotel Lilla Roberts is part of Norwegian Strawberry family of over 200 hotels across the Nordic countries. We belong to the Strawberry's portfolio of independent hotels called Nordic Hotels and Resorts. Our family of hotels, both in the capital region of Finland and in neighbouring countries, offers opportunities for career advancement and a wide variety of positions in the hospitality industry.

Our journeys

Amanda Annajian – Shift Manager

"I started my career at Strawberry Finland (former Kämp Collection Hotels) in 2017 as a receptionist at Kämp Spa in Hotel Kämp. I was inspired by the hotel industry and applied to Haaga-Helia in 2019 to become Bachelor of Hospitality Management. Strawberry Finland has provided a supportive and encouraging environment for combining studies and work. In spring 2023, I became a Shift Manager at the reception desk of Hotel Lilla Roberts. My time there has been rewarding, and I appreciate the opportunity to learn something new every day."

About the hotel

Mikko Kauppinen – Chef

"In 2018, I was dreaming of moving to Helsinki and spotted a job ad for restaurant Krog Roba. I decided to apply and that marked the beginning of a new chapter in my life! I worked as a chef for over six months before I was promoted to Shift Manager. During this time I also wanted to explore other jobs and cooking opportunities. However, the great team, delicious food, and the concept of letting my own handprint shine through drew me back to Krog Roba. A few years later, I was promoted to chef. Although I have the job description and daily chores down pat, there is still the opportunity to constantly develop my skills."

About the restaurant

Laura Suutari – Head Bartender

"In 2019, I started working at Strawberry Finland (former Kämp Collection Hotels) as a temporary employee at Bar Lilla. Shortly after, the COVID-19 pandemic hit, and I began also working at Kämp Bar. When the head bartender position opened up at Bar Lilla e, I got my current role. Hotel Lilla Roberts has always felt like home to me, and returning was an easy decision since I was already familiar with the building and staff. I knew I would enjoy working with the people here. As the head bartender, I am able to utilise my diverse educational background. In addition to my work, I also teach bar management at Omnia."

What do you enjoy most about your job?

"What I like most about my job is the great colleagues, the client encounters and the shift leadership in operations. It's very important for me to create a positive atmosphere and be there for the team in every situation. At Lilla Roberts, we have a team spirit and you are welcome to join us just as you are."

High Lights of the Year

Lilla June – Fashion Event

An invitation-only event organised annually in collaboration with our fashion partners and renowned stylists Vesa Silver and Meri Milash. Since 2018, the fashion party has been held in the hotel courtyard or in the hotel lobby. The highlight of the event is a fashion show where the fashion partners present their outfits.

Lilla Halloween Event

Annual themed party for Lilla Roberts corporate guests, fashion partners and other collaborators. Staff members in attendance are dressed up in the theme and the best themed costume of the evening is chosen from among the guests. The event will be held at Bar Lilla e and there will always be a Halloween themed dinner at Krog Roba restaurant!

Fashion Partners of the Year

Since 2017, Hotel Lilla Roberts has supported excellent Finnish design with its fashion partner concept. We have collaborated with Katri Niskanen, Lumi, Terhi Pölkki, Hálo from North and many other rising stars of Finnish fashion design. Hotel guests staying with us receive a fashion partner of the month benefit and the fashion partner's collection is displayed in the lobby.
