We share a tradition and culture of doing more than is expected — for our guests, our employees, the community and the environment. We call this work WeCare.

WeCare is about how in our daily operations we take care of people, the environment and profitability at the same time. We will create possibilities for people both in and out of our operations. We will run hotels so that they have the smallest environmental impact. We will make our guests feel a little bit better when they check out than when they checked in.

Finnish Fashion Partners

Hotel Lilla Roberts loves fashion! Since 2017 we have been supporting great Finnish and ecological fashion design with a fashion partner concept. Our fashion partners can build their own display in the hotel lobby and showcase their great design work.

Donation for Andreas Church

When Markus Österlund from Andreas Church received an email from Hotel Lilla Roberts, he thought there would be complaints about long queues in front of the church. But on the contrary - our restaurant manager Mia Pikkarainen and our head chef Karri Knaapila had seen the long queues and wanted to donate the malted bread baked at Restaurant Krog Robassa to those in need!

Accessibility at our hotel

Our hotel has wheelchair access to the lobby, reception and bar. Our hotel has rooms with wheelchair access and a lift from the 4th floor rooms to our restaurant and breakfast room.

The restaurant and summer terrace are also accessible from the gated entrance to the courtyard. Call the buzzer next to the gate and the hotel will open the gate for you.

We Care – Environmental responsibility

It's easy to talk about targets, but real change requires a clear plan and concrete actions. Change for the better takes time and resources. With small but determined steps, we are moving towards our goals!

Responsibility in our rooms:

We save water according to Green Key standards. We have water-saving showerheads in taps and showers to reduce water consumption.
In our rooms, we prefer refillable bottles for cosmetics to disposable ones.
Our cleaning products are labeled with the Nordic Swan, the official ecolabel of the Nordic countries.
We recommend the world's freshest tap water instead of bottled water.
We encourage our guests to think about the environment, for example by offering the option of not changing towels and sheets in the room every day.

Responsibility in our restaurant operations:

In our restaurant Krog Roba, we favour local and organic products.
We closely monitor waste and take steps to reduce it.
We recycle waste and minimise the use of paper and disposable products.

Responsibility in the hotel:

We are working towards Strawberry's carbon neutral goal.
Our entire hotel is powered by renewable energy: Nordic Green Energy.
We measure and save energy, for example by using only green electricity. We use LED light bulbs in our lighting.
We use only biodegradable chemicals for cleaning.
We sort and recycle waste.
We encourage cycling and offer bicycles for use by our customers.

We are Green Key Certified

Hotel Lilla Roberts has been awarded environmental certification by the international tourism industry's environmental programme Green Key Finland. The certification is decided by a Green Key jury of experts in corporate responsibility, sustainable tourism and environmental protection.

The Green Key certified property is committed to raising environmental awareness among staff and guests, improving energy and water efficiency and reducing the environmental impact of its accommodation operations. Green Key certified companies will receive the internationally recognised Green Key label and the programme's support for their environmental work and communication.
