Studio Lamea is a fashion brand founded in Helsinki in 2023, whose central values are comprehensive ethics and responsibility. The brand offers unique products that are made mainly from recycled materials, using discarded textiles and clothes instead of new resources.

When designing clothes, Studio Lamea tries to take into account adaptability as much as possible, to fit different bodies. The collections are available in Studio Lamea's online store at www.studiolamea.com.

Studio Lamea expands its operating model by launching a new capsule collection with products made from surplus fabric from the fashion industry. Each design will be produced in approximately 8-12 pieces, thus keeping the production quantities small, emphasizing the brand's commitment to sustainable production. Alongside this, Studio Lamea also continues to design and manufacture unique products.

We had the opportunity to interview the designer, Linnea, and the CEO, Nina, about Helsinki’s fashion scene and got some shopping tips for the coolest city in the Nordics.

How would you describe style in Helsinki?

"Minimalistic, sustainable, featuring loose silhouettes."

What to pack for Helsinki in Spring?

"A loose and long coat, that’s good for layering. Studio Lamea Drawstring Bag (especially the green, water-proof one!) that’s practical and versatile throughout the day. Comfortable, low-heeled boots, that can handle the occasional puddle, are also a must have for exploring the city."
