Emmy is located on the first floor of the hotel and is perfect for meetings, team days and other events. Emmy is ideal for around 15 people, which means everyone can sit comfortably at a table, but the space can accommodate up to 30 people in theatre-style seating.

Why is our meeting room called Emmy?
Hotel Lilla Roberts turned a new and exciting leaf in the history of a dynamic property established in 1909. The building was initially built as a power plant for the city of Helsinki, and it remained in this role till 1974 when the Police department took up residence here. The building was then vacated in 2012, as the Police department relocated to other facilities.
The building was designed by architect Selim A. Lindqvist in 1909 as an electrical substation and administrational building. He met his future wife Emmy Keen for the very first time in 1896, when she was studying accounting at a home-education school in St Petersburg. Selim courted her for a long time, but eventually Emmy melted, and on a trip to the Zoo they became engaged in 1901 and married shortly afterwards.
Emmy Lindqvist was a member of Svenska småskolans vänner i Sockenbacka association (Friends of the Swedish Small School in Pitäjänmäki) and was later elected to its board. The story goes that during the troubled years of 1917-1918, Emmy walked around with a pistol hidden in her holster. She was elected to the Helsinki County Municipal Council's Board of Public Education (School Board) from 1919 to 1937.
The name of our meeting room, Emmy, is a tribute to the distinguished wife of the architect who designed our hotel!
